*From hanwoo grilled at Chung Dam and Woori to Sariwon's bulgogi on High Street and an unlimited grill beside MOA Arena, here is where to eat Korean barbecue when the meat is the point, with prices as printed.*

The best Korean barbecue in Manila is at the grills that serve hanwoo, Korea's own beef: Chung Dam in BGC and Woori Korean BBQ House on Chino Roces Avenue in Makati, both on the Tatler Best 2026 list. For a steak course cooked at the table, go to Giwon at Mitsukoshi in BGC. For classic bulgogi and galbi, Sariwon on Bonifacio High Street has been the reliable choice since 2012, and Oori at Sheraton Manila is the polished hotel version. After work in Makati, try Little Jeju in Salcedo Village; late at night near MOA, Songtan Premium BBQ is open until 5am. If you want unlimited, Wolhwa Galbi beside MOA Arena is the one we would pick.

Updated October 2026.

Korean barbecue in Manila mostly means unlimited samgyupsal, the eat all you want pork belly sets you find in the malls. They are fun with a big group, but they are not the whole story. The places below are where you go when the meat is the point: beef sold by the 100 grams, pork from Jeju Island, staff who grill it for you, and side dishes made in house. Most are a step up in price from an unlimited set, so we have printed prices as the restaurant or the press listed them, with the month. Manila's Korea Town, around Remedios and Adriatico streets in Malate, is full of Korean run grills too, and Chung Dam started there.

## Hanwoo and the big occasion

**[Chung Dam BGC](https://whatsonmnl.com/place/chung-dam-bgc)** is the Korean grill to book when the meal is the occasion. The menu is built on hanwoo, alongside US beef, wagyu and live king crab, and the kitchen is led by chef Jang Jungyun, a founding member of Gaon, the first restaurant in Korea to earn three MICHELIN stars. The BGC branch has two private rooms, for 10 and 20 guests, with no minimum spend. If you want the original, the Malate branch on Remedios Street is open until 6am.
Upper Ground Floor, Active Fun Building, 9th Avenue corner 28th Street. ₱₱₱₱. Sunday to Thursday 11am to 12am, Friday and Saturday 11am to 1am. Live King Crab, 1kg, ₱12,800; Seafood Soybean Paste Stew ₱550 (Philippine Primer, June 2026). Tip: call +63 927 474 2167 to book a private room.

**[Woori Korean BBQ House](https://whatsonmnl.com/place/woori-korean-bbq-house)** is a family run grill on Chino Roces Avenue, with Grace Lee out front and her mother, Mama Lee, in the kitchen. It serves hanwoo of the top 1++ grade from Pyeongchang, unmarinated so you taste the beef, and Jeju black pork aged for 30 days. It is a slow dinner, not an unlimited grill, and it made the Tatler Best 2026 list.
Ground Floor, Green Sun Building, 2285 Chino Roces Avenue, Makati. ₱₱₱₱. Tuesday to Thursday 5:30pm to 11pm; Friday to Sunday 11:30am to 2pm and 5:30pm to 11pm; closed Monday. Salchisal hanwoo ₱1,900 per 100g, Jeju black pork jowl ₱980 per 100g, Jeju black pork belly ₱850 per 100g (Philippine Primer, September 2026). Good to know: call +63 995 672 0415 to book.

**[Giwon Korean Steakhouse](https://whatsonmnl.com/place/giwon-korean-steakhouse)** crosses a steakhouse with a Korean grill, on the second floor of Mitsukoshi Mall looking over the park. Order a course: the Woo-makase is five steaks of Angus, dry aged beef and wagyu for two or three people, and the Wagyu Omakase is eight wagyu cuts for four or five. Both come with soup, rice, banchan, steamed egg and dessert, and three dips: truffle salt, ponzu and house ssamjang. The staff will grill for you, and there is a long list of Japanese whisky.
2nd Floor, Mitsukoshi Mall, 8th Avenue, BGC. ₱₱₱₱. Monday to Friday 11am to 9pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am to 10pm. Woo-makase ₱7,500, Wagyu Omakase ₱15,000 (Philippine Primer, April 2026). Tip: it closes at 9pm on weekdays, so book an early dinner.

## Classic bulgogi and galbi

**[Sariwon Korean Barbecue](https://whatsonmnl.com/place/sariwon-bgc)** is a Seoul bulgogi house with roots in 1938, when Mrs. Bun-im Koo created her recipe in the town of Sariwon. Its only Philippine branch has been on Bonifacio High Street since 2012. Order the bulgogi and the galbi, the beef short rib it is known for, or the signature grill set for two. The grills are built into the tables and pull the smoke down, which makes it the easiest Korean grill to bring parents or first timers to.
C2, Bonifacio High Street Central, 7th Avenue corner 29th Street, BGC. ₱₱₱. Sunday to Thursday 11am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday 11am to 11pm. Good to know: pets are welcome in the al fresco area, and it takes cards, GCash and Maya.

**[Oori, Sheraton Manila](https://whatsonmnl.com/place/oori-sheraton-manila)** is the hotel version, and a good one near the airport. Korean executive chef Kibum Park runs the kitchen, and the grill is the reason to come: Australian wagyu ribeye cooked over coconut charcoal on a table grill that draws the smoke down, with up to 16 kinds of banchan. It is quieter and more polished than a street grill. Save room for the bingsu.
2nd Floor, Sheraton Manila Hotel, Newport World Resorts, Pasay. ₱₱₱₱. Tip: book through SevenRooms or call +63 2 7902 1800, and check the day's hours when you do, as the hotel lists them differently in different places. Marriott Bonvoy members get a discount.

## After work and late at night

**[Little Jeju Restaurant](https://whatsonmnl.com/place/little-jeju-salcedo)** is a Korean grill in Salcedo Village with black tables and stone walls meant to recall Jeju Island. It is the Makati office crowd's proper Korean dinner: samgyeopsal plain, in sweet garlic or spicy sweet, marbled beef sold by weight, stews and soju. Two private rooms seat four and twelve, which suits a team dinner.
Antel Platinum Tower, 154 Valero Street, Salcedo Village, Makati. ₱₱₱. Daily, 11am to 12am. Samgyeopsal ₱520 for 180g, Salchisal ₱1,035 for 120g, Pork Kimchi Jjigae ₱460 (Philippine Primer, February 2026). Good to know: call +63 969 476 7777 for a private room.

**[Songtan Premium BBQ](https://whatsonmnl.com/place/songtan-premium-bbq)** on Macapagal Boulevard is named after the Korean town known for budae jjigae, the army stew of spam, sausage and kimchi, and its pot is made for a table to share. On the grill side there are hanwoo sets and hanwoo gopchang, beef intestine, and the kitchen makes sotbap, rice cooked in its own pot with a crisp layer at the bottom. Its Google listing gives daily hours of 11am to 5am, and it is a few minutes from the Mall of Asia.
Units 102 and 103, Ground Floor, Reach Building, Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay. ₱₱₱. Daily, 11am to 5am. Special Hanwoo A Set ₱6,600, Budae-jjigae ₱1,300 medium (Philippine Primer). Tip: one listing site shows earlier closing hours, so call +63 906 296 5283 before a late group dinner.

## Unlimited, done well

**[Wolhwa Galbi, MOA Arena](https://whatsonmnl.com/place/wolhwa-galbi-moa)** is the unlimited grill we would choose. It comes from a Korean group whose chief executive holds the title of Master Butcher of Korea, and the signature is a dry aged samgyupsal from a menu of nine cuts. It sits in the arena's own annex, so it works before or after a concert.
Ground Level, MAAX Building, J.W. Diokno Boulevard corner Coral Way, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay. ₱₱. Open until 2am. Good to know: call +63 954 336 6841 to book, and there are other branches in Greenhills, Fairview Terraces, Estancia and on Scout Lozano near Tomas Morato.

## Before you go

- **Booking.** Book the premium grills ahead, especially for a group or a private room. Chung Dam, Woori, Giwon, Little Jeju and Songtan take bookings by phone; Oori books online through SevenRooms. Woori is closed on Mondays.
- **The bill.** Beef is priced by weight at the premium places, so a table of four can spend a lot quickly. Hanwoo runs to about ₱1,900 per 100g at Woori, and the shared courses at Giwon start at ₱7,500. Pork is the cheaper way in: Jeju black pork at Woori, samgyeopsal at Little Jeju.
- **Smoke.** Sariwon and Oori draw the smoke down through the table. At other grills, wear something you do not mind smelling of barbecue.
- **When to go.** Most of these are calmest at a weekday lunch or an early dinner. For late nights, Songtan lists 5am closing (call first), Chung Dam Malate until 6am and Wolhwa Galbi until 2am.
- **Payment.** Sariwon takes Visa, Mastercard, GCash and Maya, and Oori takes cash, major cards, Maya and GCash. Ask ahead at the smaller places.
