*Twelve restaurants with a closed room for a client dinner, a lauriat or a birthday, with capacity as printed and the minimum spend where the venue publishes one, checked October 2026.*

For a private dining room in Makati or BGC, book Shang Palace at Makati Shangri-La or Canton Road at Shangri-La The Fort for a big family celebration, both with nine rooms and space for up to 50. For a client dinner, Txanton in Makati has a wine room for 10 and a Cave for 8 with no phone signal, and Old Manila at The Peninsula has the Magsaysay Room. For a small group, Inatô's room seats four to six, and El Born in BGC prints its room minimums, from ₱15,000 for three hours.

Updated October 2026.

Every place below has a closed room confirmed on its own page or in 2025 to 2026 press. We give capacity as the venue prints it, and a minimum spend only where the venue or recent press prints one. Where it does not, ask when you book: minimums change by day of the week and by season. If the dinner is mainly about business, our guide to [where to take clients to dinner in Makati and BGC](https://whatsonmnl.com/blog/business-dinner-restaurants-makati-bgc) covers the dress codes and the quieter dining rooms. This page is about the room itself.

## For a big family celebration

Chinese restaurants have the most rooms, the round tables and the set banquet menus that suit a lauriat, the multi-course Chinese-Filipino feast for a birthday, an anniversary or a homecoming.

**[Shang Palace](https://whatsonmnl.com/place/shang-palace-makati-shangri-la)** at Makati Shangri-La has nine private rooms and is the clearest about cost of any place we checked. Rooms 1 to 4 seat 10, Room 5 seats 8, Room 6 seats 15, Rooms 7 and 8 take 10 to 12, all at ₱18,000++, and Room 9 takes 40 to 50 at ₱100,000++. Staying past the booked time costs ₱3,500 nett an hour. The kitchen cooks Cantonese and Huaiyang food, with handmade dim sum at lunch.

Each has its own pantry, washroom and a butler. Nathan seats 6, Granville 10, Admiralty, Austin, Kowloon and Salisbury 12, Mody 14, and Peking takes 40 to 50 and splits into two rooms of 20. ## Before you go

- **Book early.** There are only a few rooms at each place, and they go first for Friday and Saturday dinner, Sunday lunch and the weeks around Christmas and Chinese New Year.
- **Ask four things when you call.** The room's seated capacity, the minimum spend and whether it is consumable on food and drink, how long you can keep the room, and whether a set menu is required.
- **Read the plus signs.** "₱18,000++" means service charge and tax are added. "Nett" means they are included.
- **Corkage and cake.** If you plan to bring your own wine or a birthday cake, ask about any fee before the day.
- **Getting there.** Shang Palace, Jasmine and Blackbird are all around Ayala Center and a short ride from each other. Txanton and Inatô are further south on Chino Roces Avenue Extension, where Inatô says guest parking is limited.
- **Deposits.** Ask whether a deposit is needed to hold the room. Singular's bookings are prepaid and non-refundable.
