*How every major Manila theatre is laid out, from the Orchestra to the Balcony: seat counts, what the section names mean, where tickets are sold and the house rules that catch people out, for Solaire, the Proscenium, Samsung, the Music Museum, Newport and five more.*

Most big theatres in Metro Manila sell seats in the same three or four bands: a main floor called the Orchestra, sometimes a middle level called the Loge or Dress Circle, and a Balcony at the top. What changes is the name and price each producer puts on those bands, so the seat map on your show's own ticketing page is always the one that counts. Below is how each theatre is laid out, how many it seats, where the tickets are sold and the house rule that catches people out.

Updated October 2026.

## How to read a Manila seat plan

- **Orchestra** is the main floor. The centre block is usually the most expensive ticket, the side blocks a little less, and the back rows less again.
- **Loge** or **Dress Circle** is the section behind or above the Orchestra, where a theatre has one, and is usually priced between the Orchestra and the Balcony.
- **Balcony** is the top level and almost always the cheapest. At some venues and shows it is sold as free seating, first come, first served.
- **VIP, SVIP and VVIP** are not places in the building. They are tiers the producer creates for that show, sometimes with extras like a soundcheck or a photo, and they can sit anywhere the producer decides.

The theatre does not set your ticket price or your tier names. The producer does, show by show. That is why two shows in the same room can call the same seats "Orchestra Center" and "Platinum".

## The Theatre at Solaire, Parañaque

**[The Theatre at Solaire](https://whatsonmnl.com/venue/the-theatre-at-solaire)** has 1,851 seats inside Solaire Resort Entertainment City, and it hosts touring Broadway shows, musicals, dance and film concerts with a live orchestra. There are two levels: the Orchestra on the main floor (some shows call it the Stalls) and a Balcony above. The venue does not publish one fixed seat plan page.

- **Main floor:** Orchestra Center is usually the top zone, with Orchestra Sides and Orchestra Rear priced below it. Several shows also sell a zone called Premium Gold.
- **Balcony:** split into front and back (or Lower and Upper Balcony). The back is usually the cheapest zone.
- **On stage:** only for some shows. Cirque Alice in 2026 sells VIP and VVIP seats on the stage itself.
- **Tickets:** TicketWorld, or the Solaire Box Office on Level 2.
- **Watch for:** a smart casual dress code (no slippers, shorts or sportswear), no food or water inside, and no children aged 7 and below unless the show is rated for all ages.

## The Proscenium Theater, Rockwell, Makati

**[The Proscenium Theater](https://whatsonmnl.com/venue/the-proscenium-theater)** opened in September 2025 inside Rockwell Center. Its Main Hall has 780 seats, and Rockwell says that layout of under 800 seats gives a clear view from every seat. The same building has The Black Box, a separate room for up to 300 with no fixed seating.

- **Main Hall:** past shows have sold the Orchestra (centre and side blocks) and the Dress Circle, which has been the lowest price tier. Some shows sell an Orchestra Pit tier as the top price.
- **The Black Box:** set up differently for every production, so check the layout for your show.
- **Tickets:** TicketWorld. Senior citizen, PWD (person with disability) and diplomat discounts go through TicketWorld outlets or by phone.
- **Watch for:** age limits are set per show on TicketWorld. After the show, cars queue as the crowd leaves, and walking to Power Plant Mall first can make pick-up easier.

## Samsung Performing Arts Theater, Circuit Makati

**[Samsung Performing Arts Theater](https://whatsonmnl.com/venue/samsung-performing-arts-theater)** seats about 1,520, and the venue says the exact number depends on the setup for each show. It hosts musicals, ballet and orchestra concerts, and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra plays half of its 2026 to 2027 season here.

- **Three levels:** Orchestra (ground level, closest to the stage), Loge (middle) and Balcony (top). Producers split them further, for example Orchestra Center, Orchestra Side, Loge Center, Loge Side and Balcony.
- **Access:** each level is reached by stairs, escalators or elevators on both sides of the hall. There are 16 wheelchair spaces across the three levels, booked through Ticketworld.
- **Tickets:** Ticketworld.
- **Watch for:** bags are checked at the door, and the venue asks you not to bring backpacks, packages or luggage.

## Music Museum, Greenhills, San Juan

**[Music Museum](https://whatsonmnl.com/venue/music-museum)** is the small concert theatre inside Greenhills Shopping Center, first opened in 1988. It mostly hosts OPM (Original Pilipino Music) concerts, plus stand-up comedy and the odd musical. Its sister room, Teatrino, is a separate and smaller theatre in the same complex.

- **Two levels:** the Orchestra on the main floor, curved around the stage, and a U-shaped Balcony above it. The ticketing reference map labels the Orchestra blocks A to H, from far left to far right.
- **Where to sit:** Orchestra Center faces the stage straight on. The outer side blocks see the stage at an angle and are usually cheaper. The Balcony is the cheapest tier at many shows and is sometimes sold as free seating.
- **Tickets:** depends on the show: Ticketworld, Ticket2Me, Ticketmelon or the Music Museum box office.
- **Watch for:** no slippers, shorts or tank tops, no food or water inside, and no children aged seven and below unless the producer allows them.

## Newport Performing Arts Theater, Pasay

**[Newport Performing Arts Theater](https://whatsonmnl.com/venue/newport-performing-arts-theater)** is inside Newport Mall at Newport World Resorts, across from NAIA Terminal 3. The venue says it seats more than 1,700. It does not publish a single public seat plan: each show sets its own tiers and map on its ticketing page.

- **Tiers:** several 2026 shows use names from Bronze (lowest price) up to Platinum (highest).
- **Far seats:** two LED screens on stage show close-ups of the performers.
- **Tickets:** the Newport World Resorts show list, TicketWorld, Ticketmelon or Megatix, depending on the show.
- **Watch for:** all sales are final, and resold tickets can be cancelled without a refund.

## New Frontier Theater, Cubao, Quezon City

**[New Frontier Theater](https://whatsonmnl.com/venue/new-frontier-theater)** in Araneta City seats 2,325, and hosts mid-size concerts, Korean fan meetings and stand-up tours.

- **Three levels:** Orchestra closest to the stage, Loge right behind it, and Balcony at the back. On the seat maps, Orchestra seats run from 1 on the right to 48 on the left.
- **Floor:** some shows turn the front Orchestra into a standing Floor; others use "Floor" for seated rows. Check your show's map.
- **Tickets:** TicketNet is the official partner, plus Etix for some shows.
- **Watch for:** metal detectors and bag checks at every entry, and large bags go to the baggage counter beside the ticket booth.

## BGC Arts Center, Taguig

**[BGC Arts Center](https://whatsonmnl.com/venue/bgc-arts-center)** has the Globe Auditorium, which seats up to 500 in a theatre setup. The seats are retractable and movable, so there is no fixed public seat map, and rows change from show to show. The venue names three viewing levels.

- **Tickets:** TicketWorld, or the box office at the venue. Free-seating events let people in first come, first served.
- **Watch for:** no food or drinks inside the auditorium, and no cameras unless the production allows them.

## Manila Metropolitan Theater, Ermita

**[The Manila Metropolitan Theater](https://whatsonmnl.com/venue/manila-metropolitan-theater)**, opened in 1931 beside Manila City Hall, seats 990 in its Main Theater after a restoration cut the count from 1,600. There is a ground floor Orchestra and an upper Balcony, reached by stairways on both sides of the foyer.

- **Zones:** published seat plans use Orchestra Center, Orchestra Sides and Balcony. The view from the sides is a little side-on.
- **Tickets:** TicketWorld for Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra concerts, and Ticketmelon for some other shows.
- **Getting there:** LRT-1 Central Terminal station is a few minutes' walk away.

## Cultural Center of the Philippines, Pasay

**[The Cultural Center of the Philippines](https://whatsonmnl.com/venue/cultural-center-of-the-philippines)** has two very different rooms. Its 1,815-seat Main Theater, with four levels named Orchestra, Boxes, Balcony I and Balcony II, is closed until the Main Building reopens, which CCP says will be in the first quarter of 2027. Shows run meanwhile in the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez, a black box for 272 to 320 people whose layout changes with each production, from end stage to in the round.

- **Tickets:** Ticketworld or the CCP Box Office.
- **Getting there:** set your ride app to the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez, not the Main Building.

## A few things that hold everywhere

- **Buy from the outlet the venue or producer names.** Resold tickets can be cancelled, and some outlets, Newport's among them, say all sales are final.
- **Eat before you go in.** Solaire, the Music Museum and BGC Arts Center do not allow food or drinks inside the hall.
- **Check the age rule for your show.** At Solaire and the Music Museum the house rule is no children aged 7 and below unless the show allows them, and each producer can set its own.
- **Ask about accessible seats before you pay.** Wheelchair spaces are few and are booked through the ticketing outlet.

## Questions people ask

**What is the seating capacity of The Theatre at Solaire?**
Solaire says 1,851 seats. Some shows add seats on the stage.

**Is there an official Solaire Theatre seat plan?**
No single one. The venue does not publish a fixed seat plan page. Each show's seat map is on its TicketWorld page.

**How many seats does the Proscenium Theater in Rockwell have?**
780 in the Main Hall. The Black Box in the same building holds up to 300.

**Where are the best seats at the Music Museum?**
Orchestra Center faces the stage straight on. The side blocks see it at an angle, and the Balcony is usually the cheapest.

**What are Loge seats?**
The section between the Orchestra and the Balcony. At the Samsung Performing Arts Theater it is the raised middle level; at New Frontier Theater it is the seated section right behind the Orchestra.

**Why do the section names on my ticket not match this page?**
Because the producer names and prices the sections for each show. The levels stay the same; the labels change.
