## About this event

The country's oldest orchestra marks its centennial with an opera-in-concert evening, joined by soprano Rachelle Gerodias-Park, mezzo-soprano Michelle Mariposa and baritone Byeong In Park for excerpts from Bizet's Carmen and other operatic favourites. The date marks seventy years since the orchestra staged Carmen in Tagalog, with Conching Rosal in the title role. It takes place in the Art Deco FEU Auditorium in Sampaloc, one of Manila's handsome mid-century halls. Worth crossing town for if you take your classical programming seriously; a good evening out with visiting family who appreciate the form.
