A post-war Filipino ancestral house on Don Pedro, run as a coffee shop, bar, boutique and design studio across two floors and a garden. It is quiet and largely empty in the daytime, which is when it is at its best, and turns into a bar with DJ sets after six. There is no signage: look for a white gate with galvanised sheets and wooden carabao horns, and ring the bell.

1. A heritage house with a garden and a sunroom, not a mall coffee shop
2. Peaceful in the morning, which is the opposite of the rest of Poblacion
3. No sign and no dedicated parking, so pin it on a map and take a car service
