Called Manila's last lung, this 2.2-hectare patch of secondary forest sits on the south bank of the Pasig. It holds dozens of tree varieties, thousands of ornamental plants and a small population of resident birds. In 2025 its riverside edge was tied into the Pasig River Esplanade, so you can fold it into a longer walk.

## Why go

1. The only real urban forest in the city centre, genuinely cool and quiet under the canopy
2. Birdlife and old trees a few minutes from the chaos of downtown Manila
3. Now linked to the Pasig River Esplanade for a longer green walk

## Good to know

- **Best time:** Morning, when it is coolest and the birds are active
- **Good for:** Quiet walks, birdwatching, a breather from the city
- **Reservations:** None; sign the guest book at the entrance
- **Noise:** Quiet and shaded inside the forest
