Cafe Juanita has been a Kapitolyo fixture for over two decades, opened by retired doctor Boy Vasquez and named after his mother. Every surface of the old house is covered in antiques, chandeliers, birdcages and Asian art.

The menu is long, mostly Filipino with a Thai section. Kare-kare was dish number one and is still the pride of the kitchen, with oxtail, toasted rice and house-made bagoong. Come with a group and share.
