Uma Nota is a Brazilian Japanese restaurant and bar under Shangri-La The Fort, brought to Manila in 2022 by the founders of the original in Hong Kong. The menu follows the Japanese community of São Paulo: Wagyu pastel, hamachi tiradito, feijoada, lobster moqueca and yakiniku lamb. You reach a 1970s style room by a moody corridor and staircase, and a DJ plays from 10pm on Wednesday to Saturday.

## Why go

1. A weekday lunch set at ₱1,380 in a Michelin listed room
2. A chef's menu at ₱5,900 that runs from pastel de carne to lobster moqueca
3. A serious cocktail list to start the night
4. Dinner that runs into a DJ set on Wednesday to Saturday nights

## Good to know

- **Best time:** Weekday lunch for value; Friday or Saturday dinner for the party
- **Good for:** A date that turns into a night out, a birthday group
- **Reservations:** SevenRooms, with a ₱1,000 per person dinner deposit
- **Noise:** Loud, especially once the DJ starts
