A small, dense pocket park in Legazpi Village, opened in 2006 and named for Washington SyCip, the accountant who founded SGV. Old trees including a balete and rainbow eucalyptus, a koi pond, a Japanese rock garden and stone sculptures by Impy Pilapil, with a looping path and benches under enough canopy to make a midday walk bearable.

Open daily, 6am to 10pm, and free. It is the quietest green space in the Makati grid, and it fills at lunch with people from the surrounding offices. No smoking.

## Why go

1. Real shade and birdsong inside the financial district
2. Flat paved paths and benches throughout, easy on a slow walk
3. Close to the Legazpi Sunday Market, so the two make one morning

## Good to know

- **Best time:** Early morning, before the office lunch crowd
- **Good for:** A quiet walk, a lunch break outdoors, reading on a bench
- **Reservations:** None; free and open to all
