Where to buy plants in Manila
Nine places, from the market stalls at Quezon Memorial Circle to plant studios with a café, on one map with directions to each.
Manila sells plants in two very different ways. At the markets they come in black nursery bags, the choice is enormous and you carry them home by hand. At the plant studios someone helps you match a plant to a pot and pours you a coffee while you decide. These are the nine places we would send a friend, from the cheapest stalls to the shops worth a drive, all on one map with directions to each.
Ming's Garden is outside the city, so it sits off the map to the south.

The markets
1Quezon Memorial Circle plant stalls

The closest thing Manila has to a plant street. Stalls along Elliptical Road sell herbs, orchids, bonsai, succulents and monsteras, with pots and loam soil in between, so you can buy the plant and everything it needs in one walk. Some sellers will move on price if you buy several. Parking is paid, and mornings are cooler and better stocked.

- Stalls generally 8am to 6pm
- Where
- Elliptical Road, Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City
- Price
- ₱
- Go for
- Houseplants, orchids, herbs and edibles, succulents and bonsai, pots and soil
2Greenland Plants and Orchids Center, Cartimar

Cartimar is better known for its pet shops and Asian groceries, but the furthest building on the right as you come in from Taft Avenue is all plants. Philstar Life found phalaenopsis orchids in pinks and lavenders, roses and bougainvillea, and stalls carpeted in basil, dill, mint and rosemary, plus chili plants and small fruit trees. Parking is easy, with attendants to help.

3Dangwa flower market

Via The Manila Times
Cut flowers rather than potted plants: about a hundred stalls across Dimasalang, Dos Castillas and Laon Laan that take customers around the clock. Start at the Dimasalang end, where the plainer stalls are, instead of buying at the first corner you reach. There is no parking except at the Chowking, so take a Grab. Go this month if you can, because prices climb before Undas on 1 and 2 November.
- When
- Open 24 hours
- Where
- Dimasalang, Dos Castillas and Laon Laan, Sampaloc, Manila
- Price
- ₱
- Go for

In Makati, on weekends
4Salcedo Saturday Market
A food market first, with a small corner of plants and flowers. If you live in Makati, it is the easiest way to come home with something green on a Saturday. Go early for the best of it, and bring cash.
- When
- Saturdays, 7am to 2pm
- Where
- Jaime C. Velasquez Park, Salcedo Village, Makati
- Price
- ₱ to ₱₱
- Go for
- Cut flowers
5Legazpi Sunday Market
Legazpi has moved. Its Instagram now places it at the Corinthian carpark beside Corinthian Plaza on Paseo de Roxas, not at Legazpi Park, where older guides still send you. Recent visitors mention orchid and plant stalls among the food. Check @legazpisundaymarket for the hours before you go.
- When
- Sundays, check @legazpisundaymarket for hours
- Where
- Corinthian carpark beside Corinthian Plaza, Paseo de Roxas, Makati
- Price
- ₱ to ₱₱
- Go for
- Orchids
For soil and pots
6Urban Goes Green, Sampaloc
Less a place to choose plants than the place to stock up once you have them. Loam soil is ₱75 for an 8kg pack, there are six branches across Quezon City, Manila and Pasig, and soil can be delivered the same day from the nearest one. The Sampaloc branch is on the map; the Araneta Cubao and Mindanao Avenue branches are closer if you live north.
- When
- Daily, 6am to 9pm
- Where
- 723-A Cristobal Street, Sampaloc, Manila
- Price
- ₱

Plant studios worth the drive
7Shopleaf Plant Studio

Shopleaf Plant Studio
A plant studio that leans into design: statement trees, small desk plants, Ecopots and kokedama, the Japanese moss balls that grow without a pot. Our Little Cafe sits inside, so you can take a coffee while you decide. Hours can change, and the shop posts updates on @shopleafplantstudio. Delivery within Metro Manila takes two to five days.
- When
- Daily, 10am to 5pm
- Where
- 44 Malingap Street, Teacher's Village East, Quezon City
- Price
- ₱₱₱
- Go for
- Houseplants, big plants and trees, pots and soil, and a café
8Hillside Garden

Hillside Garden
The shop that used to be Spruce Plant Shop. There is a display room indoors and a full greenhouse outside for the larger plants, plus pots in many sizes. Soil-less potting mix starts at ₱100 and a large Monopot is ₱1,880, which gives you a sense of the range. Lmnop, the café, makes it an easy place to linger, and same-day delivery is available on request. Instagram: @hillsidegardenph.
- When
- Mon to Thu 9am to 7pm, Fri to Sun 8am to 8pm
- Where
- 170 Dos Castillas Street, Pasadena, San Juan
- Price
- ₱₱₱
- Go for

Out of town
9Ming's Garden
Former First Lady Ming Ramos's garden on the road up to Tagaytay has a plant store beside its events greenhouse, plus a restaurant and a pasalubong shop, so a plant run becomes lunch and a walk. It is about two hours from Manila. Rappler reported weekday hours of 8am to 9pm and weekend hours of 7am to 10pm in 2024, so message @mingsgardenph before you drive up. Smaller roadside nurseries along the Santa Rosa to Tagaytay road sell seedlings, moss, soil and pots, so leave room in the boot.
- When
- Message @mingsgardenph before driving up
- Where
- Sta. Rosa Road, Pasong Langka, Silang, Cavite
- Price
- ₱₱
- Go for
- Houseplants, and a café
Before you go
- Go in the morning. It is cooler, the stalls are fuller and parking is easier.
- Bring cash in small notes for the markets.
- Bring a box or a big bag if you are taking a Grab home. Wet soil and car seats do not mix.
- Know your light first. Pothos, snake plants, ZZ plants and philodendrons cope with the indirect light most condos get. Tell the seller where the plant will live and they can steer you.
- Hours change. Everything here was checked on 5 October 2026. Message the shop before a long drive.
