About this event

PETA adapts the cult Filipino film franchise for the stage as a meta-comedy about ego, ambition and the absurdity of making theater in Manila. Eugene Domingo plays a heightened version of herself, alongside stage veterans JC Santos, Stella Cañete-Mendoza, Meann Espinosa and Andoy Ranay, from a Chris Martinez script directed by PETA artistic director Maribel Legarda. It is a genuinely funny evening and a sharp look at how local theater actually gets made, which makes it worth crossing town for anyone following the Philippine cultural scene. The run is long but performances are weekends only, so book ahead and pick a Saturday matinee at 2pm or a 7.30pm evening show in New Manila, Quezon City.
