Things You Wanted to Say But Never Did: Geloy Concepcion
Presented by Ateneo Art Gallery, Ateneo de Manila University
- When
- On view until 12 July 2026; Four Conversations sessions through early July, Gallery hours; talk sessions per Ateneo events schedule
- Where
- Areté, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan Ave, Loyola Heights, Quezon City
- Who it's for
- For people who treat photography and writing as something to sit with, on a quiet solo weekday afternoon; the gallery is at Areté in Loyola Heights, easy if you are already around Katipunan or UP, but save it for a free stretch if you are coming up from Makati or BGC.
- Good to know
- Confirm the Ateneo Art Gallery opening hours before you go, since campus venues keep their own schedule. The show runs until 12 July, and the free Four Conversations talks have separate dates running into early July, so check the events schedule if you want to catch one. There is a quiet room where you can write and add your own note.
About this event
Photographer Geloy Concepcion turns a six-year archive of anonymous confessions, gathered from strangers worldwide since 2019, into his first gallery exhibition. About 150 film photographs are overwritten with the things people meant to say but never did, hung alongside letters collected nationwide, with a quiet second room where you can write and add your own. A companion series, Four Conversations, offers free public talks on luck, the things we keep, and the envy we rarely admit. This is a reflective, reading-adjacent show; worth crossing town for if you treat exhibitions as text, and an easy weekday afternoon stop near Katipunan. Check Ateneo hours before going, and the events schedule for talk dates that run into early July.
