Altro Mondo has shown contemporary art in Makati since 2010, and in 2019 it opened this 800 square metre building on Chino Roces, a former repair shop for high-end cars, under creative director Remigio "Boy" David. The main hall is double height, with a mezzanine and five smaller rooms off it: Inner, Espace Celine, Spazio Franco, Monteverdi and Artists' Lane. Entry is free and nothing needs booking. A full cycle fills several rooms at once, putting established Filipino painters beside first solo shows, but the place goes quiet between changeovers, so check the exhibitions page before you cross town. Their second gallery is at The Picasso in Salcedo Village.
