Southbank began in Alabang in 2019 as a Melbourne-style cafe that turns into a cocktail bar at night, and opened this 85-seat BGC branch at World Plaza in November 2024. Patrick Leyble, Wendy Esteban, Martin Espiritu and Stevie Ang run it with executive bartender Kevin Corales. Leyble, Esteban and Corales also co-founded Problem Child in Makati, and Southbank is on Tatler's Best 20 Bars Philippines for 2026. Coffee and all-day food from 7am, then a 36-drink list after dark, including Ramen Not Ramen on peanut butter washed whisky. Two honest notes: there is no guest wifi, though sockets are plentiful, and opinion on the coffee is divided. It closes at midnight Sunday to Wednesday, 2am Thursday to Saturday.
