Super Uncle Claypot is a small Cantonese claypot rice restaurant on Enriquez Street in Poblacion, opened by three friends who learnt the method from Mr Chao, a claypot cook in Guangzhou. Every pot is cooked to order so the rice forms a crust at the bottom, and a sweet soy sauce is poured over it at the table. It is Michelin Selected for 2026 and a Tatler Best listing. Order the spareribs with sausage or the chicken and mushroom, and start with dim sum: a pot takes 20 to 30 minutes. Open 11am to midnight, to 2am on Friday and Saturday. No online booking, so walk in or call. The room fills at dinner, so go mid-afternoon.
