The Fat Seed roasts its own beans. Bryant Dee opened the first branch at UP Town Center in 2018 and this BGC one during the pandemic; there are five branches now. In February 2026 Dee and head roaster Kevin Lee won the International Coffee Roasting Challenge in Manila. A mural covers the brick wall, and there is a long bar and a terrace on 9th Avenue. Espresso drinks run ₱155 to ₱260 and the all day breakfast plates ₱350 to ₱720. Wifi is free. The same bar pours cocktails and whisky, and on Friday and Saturday the room stays open an hour later. Breakfast and weekend brunch are busy, so come early for a table you can work at.
