Txanton started as a wine and gourmet importer and grew into what it calls the first jamonería in the Philippines, on the second floor of the Alegria Alta Building on Chino Roces Avenue Extension. You eat in rooms lined with shelves of wine and Spanish goods, from a long menu of jamón ibérico, Rubia Gallega beef, pluma ibérica and caviar. The Michelin inspectors count around 3,000 bottles of wine, and there are private rooms, including a Cave with no internet or signal.
Why go
- 01Jamón ibérico at what calls itself the country's first jamonería
- 02A very deep Spanish and European wine cellar
- 03Rubia Gallega beef and pluma ibérica, cuts that are hard to find elsewhere in Manila
- 04Private rooms for a group, including a Cave for up to 8 with no phone signal
