Who beabadoobee is, and why this show matters

beabadoobee is Beatrice Laus, a singer and songwriter born in Iloilo City in 2000 who moved to London at three and grew up in West London. She signed to the independent label Dirty Hit in 2018.

Most people first heard her without knowing it. Her 2017 song "Coffee" was sampled by the Canadian rapper Powfu for "Death Bed (Coffee for Your Head)", which went viral on TikTok in 2020. Her own records followed: Fake It Flowers (2020), Beatopia (2022), This Is How Tomorrow Moves (2024), her first number one album in the UK, and Pylon, her fourth album, released on 18 September 2026 (Billboard Philippines). In 2023 she opened for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour.

"Glue Song" came out in 2023, and its video was filmed in Iloilo, where she was born (GMA). That is a big part of why her Manila shows feel like a homecoming rather than a tour stop.

The songs most people here will know:

  • "Glue Song", her 2023 single
  • "the perfect pair", from Beatopia
  • "Coffee", the song behind "Death Bed"
  • "Talk", from Beatopia, and "Care", from Fake It Flowers
  • "Sun Has Set", the lead single from Pylon

beabadoobee and Manila

  • 2022: her first Philippine show, at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao on the Beatopia tour, in September 2022 (ABS-CBN).
  • 2023: back in the Philippines, this time in Iloilo, to film the "Glue Song" video (GMA).
  • 2025: two nights at the New Frontier Theater on 12 and 13 August to open her Asia Tour 2025. GMA reported that "both nights sold out, a remarkable achievement for weekday concerts." She sang the Apo Hiking Society's "Panalangin", and Jim Paredes of the Apo Hiking Society joined her on stage for a duet (GMA, 14 August 2025).
  • 2027: the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Tuesday 13 April.

What she has said

beabadoobee, on stage at the New Frontier Theater in August 2025, as reported by GMA:

"It's good to be back home."

And, to the same crowd:

"I'm very far away from home [Iloilo] but seeing this many people listen to me makes up for it."

We have not found an interview where she talks about the 2027 Manila date. We will add one here if she does.
