Mall Hours for Christmas and New Year 2026: SM, Ayala, Robinsons and Megaworld

The essentials

• Thursday 24 December 2026 (Christmas Eve) and Thursday 31 December are special non-working days. Friday 25 December and Friday 1 January 2027 are regular holidays.
• 2026 holiday mall hours: not announced by SM, Ayala Malls, Robinsons Malls, Araneta City or Megaworld Lifestyle Malls when we checked on 4 November 2026.
• MMDA adjusted hours for 2026: not announced when we checked. Last year the MMDA set 11AM to 11PM on weekdays from 17 November to 25 December 2025, with weekends and holidays exempt.
• Last year's pattern: most big malls closed at 7PM on 24 and 31 December and opened at 12NN on 1 January.

2026 holiday hours by mall group

We will fill this in from each mall's own posts. "Not announced" means the mall had not posted it when we checked on 4 November 2026.

What the malls did last year

These are last year's hours (Christmas 2025 and 1 January 2026), as published by SPOT.ph on 12 November 2025. Use them as a guide only.

Two things to know. First, lists from different outlets did not always agree last year: for SM Aura on 1 January, SPOT.ph gave 12NN to 10PM while The Summit Express listed it as closed. Second, we did not find last year's holiday hours for Megaworld malls (Uptown, Eastwood, Venice Grand Canal), Shangri-La Plaza or Power Plant Mall from the malls or a news outlet, so check their own pages in December.

Late shopping nights (last year)

The busiest stretch is the two weeks before Christmas, and last year many malls stayed open until midnight. From SPOT.ph's list:

• SM Mall of Asia: open until 12MN from 13 to 23 December 2025, opening at 10AM on weekends and 11AM on weekdays.
• SM Megamall: open until 12MN from 13 to 21 December 2025.
• Robinsons Galleria and Robinsons Magnolia: the same, until 12MN from 13 to 23 December 2025.
• TriNoma: until 12MN on 20 to 23 December 2025.
• Greenbelt and Glorietta: until 11PM from 9 to 23 December 2025.

If you want a quieter trip, go on a weekday morning. Under last year's MMDA rule, mall-wide sales were held on weekends only. For bazaars and gift ideas, see Christmas Bazaars in Manila 2026.

Regular hours now

SM's own mall hours page listed these regular hours when we checked on 4 November 2026, effective since Monday 22 June:

• 10AM to 10PM: SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM Aura, The Podium, S Maison
• 10AM to 9PM: SM Makati, SM City Manila

SM adds that for each branch you should "refer to real-time updates on the mall's official social media pages", which is also where the holiday hours appear first.

Before you go

• Check the mall's own page on the day. Holiday hours can differ between branches of the same group, and supermarkets, cinemas and restaurants inside a mall can keep their own hours.
• Plan the ride home on 24 and 31 December. Last year the MRT-3 made its last trips at 7:45PM from North Avenue and 8:23PM from Taft Avenue on both nights, so an early mall closing and an early last train come close together.
• Make a night of it. For what is on after the shops close, see Christmas lights in Metro Manila and New Year's Eve in Manila.
