The Philippines marks 128 years since the 1898 declaration of independence with flag-raising at the Rizal Monument, wreath-laying, and the civic-military parade that anchors the national rites. Roxas Boulevard and the roads ringing the park close from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM, so come on foot or by LRT and watch the spectacle unfold from Burnham Green.
