About this event

The image of Our Lady of La Naval has been carried through the streets around Santo Domingo since the seventeenth century, and the Dominicans keep the feast on the second Sunday of October. It is one of the largest Marian processions in the country, with dozens of carrozas sent by parishes, confraternities and private families falling in behind the main image. The ivory figure itself is a declared National Cultural Treasure.
