About this event
The Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson, whose installations turn light, water and atmosphere into shared perceptual experiments, opens his first solo exhibition in the Philippines at MCAD Manila. The show spans three decades of work across installation, sculpture, painting and photography, and marks the final stop of an Asia-Pacific tour that travelled through Singapore, Auckland, Taipei and Jakarta. This is the most significant contemporary art exhibition in the city this season, and it is worth crossing town for. Admission is free and the run continues to mid-November, so a quiet weekday visit or a return with visiting family is easy to plan; museum hours are Tuesday to Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 2 PM, with an opening reception on Thursday 9 July from 6 to 8 PM.
