78-45-33
78-45-33 is a jazz listening bar behind an unmarked door at the rear of LPL Mansions in Salcedo Village, named for the three speeds of a record. Tonyboy de Leon, the audiophile behind the November Hi-Fi Show, opened it in 2017 to house his records and speakers, and runs it with his brother Popit. Fewer than 30 seats face a small stage with a Steinway baby grand. Sets are unamplified and tickets, usually ₱500, are best bought in advance and go straight to the artists. The bar earns on ₱500 cocktails, ₱250 wine by the glass and truffle popcorn. You will be told to stop talking before every set. Open daily, 4pm to midnight, with the set schedule on Instagram.
