Yardstick is the specialty roaster Andre Chanco, Kevin Tang and Jessica Lee started in 2013, and this is the flagship, a ground floor room on Esteban Street with concrete counters, long wooden tables and bar stools. The Bean Shop sells beans and home brewing gear. The Flavor Bar runs seasonal tasting sessions, seats by reservation only. Espresso is ₱160, a flat white ₱180, single origin filter from ₱220. Seating is limited, so a weekday morning is the easy hour. The kitchen is under renovation, so check before you plan brunch. The room is closed on Thursday, and the Yardstick site still lists 7am to 8pm daily, so call (02) 8372 3891 before a special trip.
