The best dog-friendly places in BGC and Makati are Central Bark's two off-leash parks, in BGC and in Salcedo's Jaime C. Velasquez Park, the Barkyard dog playground at Circuit Makati, and the leash-friendly lawns of BGC's parks and Ayala Triangle Gardens. For food and coffee, The Wholesome Table, The Fat Seed and Hooroo! in BGC, and Spotted Pig, Majikasa and Odd Cafe in Makati and Rockwell all welcome pets. SM Aura, Power Plant Mall and the Ayala Malls let dogs in, each with its own rules.
Updated October 2026.
Pet rules change often and can differ between branches, so message the venue before you go, especially if your dog is large.
Off-leash dog parks
Central Bark BGC. A fenced, 600 square metre off-leash area on 24th Street, with obstacles to climb and run through. There are no longer park rangers on site, so owners watch their own dogs. Area: BGC, 24th Street. Price: Central Bark dropped its day pass in August 2024 "until further notice", and fees may have changed since, so check the Central Bark Park PH Facebook page before you go. Good to know: play can get rough at busy times, so a shy dog does better on a weekday morning.
JVP Central Bark, Salcedo. Central Bark's Makati park sits inside Jaime C. Velasquez Park in Salcedo Village, the same park that holds the Salcedo Saturday Market. It is fenced, with obstacles, and a short walk from most of Salcedo and Legazpi. Area: Salcedo, Tordesillas Street. Tip: at opening, Central Bark asked for 5-in-1 or 6-in-1, kennel cough, anti-rabies and deworming records, so keep them on your phone. Saturday mornings are busier because of the market.
The Barkyard at Circuit Makati. Ayala Land describes the Barkyard as a playground made only for dogs, inside a pet-friendly complex with open space for a walk. Its rules are among the strictest in the city, which many owners like. Area: Circuit Makati, Riverfront Drive, by the Pasig River, about 15 to 25 minutes by car from Legazpi Village. Rules when it opened: vaccination and rabies records checked at the gate, a maximum of two dogs per adult, no children in the off-leash area, no prong, shock or spike collars, and dogs leashed when entering and leaving.
Walks on a leash: BGC parks and Ayala Triangle
BGC's parks: Track 30th, Burgos Circle and Bonifacio High Street. Bonifacio Global City's own rule is simple: pets must be on a leash and owners must clean up after them. Track 30th is best for a longer loop, and the Bonifacio High Street park strip takes you from coffee to dinner on a lawn. Area: BGC. Hours: Track 30th and Burgos Circle Park are open 6am to 10pm daily. Tip: the running clubs use Track 30th early in the morning, so keep your dog on a short leash at that hour.
Ayala Triangle Gardens. The green wedge between Ayala Avenue, Paseo de Roxas and Makati Avenue is the main dog walk in the Makati business district. The big trees give real shade. Area: Makati Central Business District (CBD). Hours: 6am to 10pm. Rules: pets must be leashed and secured, and handlers clean up after them.
Dog-friendly cafes and restaurants in BGC
The Wholesome Table BGC. Organic, farm-to-table cooking on the corner of Bonifacio High Street Central. The restaurant itself says its outdoor tables are the place to sit with pets. Area: BGC, Bonifacio High Street Central, 30th Street corner 7th Avenue. Good to know: there is also a Salcedo branch.
The Fat Seed Cafe + Roastery. The roastery's BGC branch on 9th Avenue appears on a March 2026 round-up of pet-friendly BGC restaurants, with coffee roasted in house and a full brunch menu. Area: BGC, One Maridien, 9th Avenue corner 27th Street. Price: ₱₱₱. Tip: ask on arrival which tables suit your dog, and keep a diaper handy if you hope to sit inside.
Hooroo! A Filipino and Australian restaurant that opened in December 2025 on the second floor of Park Triangle Mall. It describes itself as pet friendly. Area: BGC, Park Triangle Mall, 32nd Street corner 11th Avenue. Hours: Monday to Friday 10am to 9pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 10pm.
Also in BGC: Elephant Grounds at One Bonifacio High Street, Jones All Day at Serendra, Wildflour on 4th Avenue, Caravan Black on 4th Avenue and Angkan Coffee on 7th Avenue all appear on the same 2026 list of pet-friendly BGC restaurants. That list notes Angkan welcomes pets indoors. For laptop-friendly coffee, see the best cafes to work from.
Dog-friendly cafes in Makati and Rockwell
Spotted Pig Cafe. A specialty coffee shop that started in Siargao, now with a branch on Esteban Street in Legazpi Village and one at Proscenium in Rockwell. WiFi, all-day food and a stated pet-friendly policy. Area: Legazpi Village, 109 Esteban Street (7am to 9pm); and Proscenium at Rockwell (8am to 10pm).
Majikasa. A cafe on Chino Roces Avenue with the clearest written dog rules in this guide: pets must be leashed, carried or in a stroller, owners must show proof of vaccination, and dogs should wear diapers and stay calm near the table. Pets are not allowed in the retail area. Area: 2100 Chino Roces Avenue, south Makati, about 10 to 20 minutes by car from Legazpi Village. Hours: Monday to Tuesday 10am to 10pm, Wednesday to Thursday 8am to 10pm, Friday to Sunday 8am to 11pm. Tip: bring your own water bowl, as the cafe asks.
Odd Cafe. A plant-based specialty coffee shop on the seventh floor of the Finman Centre in Salcedo Village, describing itself as pet inclusive. Coffee comes with plant milks such as oat, soy or almond. Area: Salcedo, 131 Tordesillas Street corner Bautista. Hours: 8am to 11pm. Tip: you need the building lift, so a carrier or small stroller helps. A second branch is at 115 V.A. Rufino Street, Legazpi Village.
Pet-friendly malls: the rules that matter
SM Aura (BGC). SM says all its malls welcome pets of all breeds and sizes in common areas, on a leash. SM Aura also has the Paw Park on its rooftop Skypark, an outdoor agility course with 11 obstacles. Paw Park access needs an SM Super Pets Club Pet ID, valid one year from the anti-rabies shot. Area: BGC, 26th Street corner McKinley Parkway. Good to know: some stores still restrict pets, so check signs at the door.
Power Plant Mall (Rockwell). Every pet needs a Rockwell Pet Passport with up-to-date rabies shots and a 2x2 photo. Inside, only small and medium pets (up to 22 inches from head to paws) are allowed, and they must be carried or in a stroller. Large dogs are limited to the al fresco dining areas and the Plaza Garden. Area: Rockwell, Makati. Not allowed: The Marketplace supermarket, the chapel, The Fifth and the cinemas. Tip: passports issued before 14 October 2024 must be renewed.
Ayala Malls (Greenbelt, Glorietta, One Ayala, Circuit and others). You apply for an Ayala Malls Pet ID at the concierge, with your pet's vaccination records. In relaxed-tier malls, pets of any size can go indoors; in limited-tier malls, only pets under 30 pounds in a stroller or carry bag. Collars and a leash no longer than 5 feet are required, and diapers are required or strongly encouraged depending on the mall. Tip: Greenbelt was placed in the relaxed tier when the rules launched, but tiers can change, so ask the concierge when you get your Pet ID.
Before you go
- Carry the vaccination record. Almost every mall and dog park here asks for proof of anti-rabies vaccination. Bring the paper card on a first visit.
- Heat is the real limit. Pavement in BGC and Makati gets hot enough to hurt paws by late morning. Walk before 9am or after 5pm and bring water. More in our guide to training around Manila's heat.
- Bring a diaper and a stroller. Many indoor cafes and limited-tier malls expect both. Indoors, keep your dog off chairs.
- Al fresco does not always mean dogs inside. Message the venue first, mention your dog's size, and ask where you can sit.
- Rainy season. From June to October, plan an indoor fallback, such as a mall where your dog can ride in a stroller.
