For serious wine and food people who want themed dinners with carefully chosen pairings, on a planned weeknight out. Dinners rotate through better Makati tables, recently around Rockwell, so they are easy from the central districts and worth crossing town for if the theme is yours.

About this event

The Philippines branch of the International Wine & Food Society, founded in 1982 and now around forty-six members, holds at least ten dinners a year at the city's better tables, roughly one a month outside December and January. Each evening is built around a theme and a set of wines that the branch's wine masters taste and pair in advance; a recent example was a Judgment of Paris fiftieth-anniversary blind tasting and dinner at Chef Jessie's Rockwell Club. A summer dinner is likely, though the specific June to August date had not been published at the time of writing. This is membership-oriented rather than a public ticketed night, so for serious wine-and-food people it is worth crossing town for: watch the branch events page and make contact in advance.
