- Weekday mornings are far calmer than the weekend, when the entry queue can stretch outside the building. Several smaller booths take cash only, so carry some, along with a bag you can carry fully loaded. Take a bus or a ride hailing car rather than driving, because the Mall of Asia car parks fill by mid morning.
About this event
The book fair fills the SMX halls for five days, with Philippine publishers, university presses, small comics imprints and importers all selling straight off the stand. Authors sign at their publishers' booths through the week and independent presses use the fair to launch titles that never reach the chain stores. It is the one week in the year when hard to find Philippine editions sit in a single room.
