The restaurants, cafes and bars that opened in Metro Manila this season, from a ₱190-a-plate yakitori house in BGC to Antonio's in Rockwell, each checked open in October 2026.

By What's On Manila editors

The new restaurants in Manila worth your table this month are Sebastian's, the Antonio's Group's all-day restaurant in Rockwell; Torikizoku, Japan's big yakitori chain, whose first Philippine branch opened at Serendra in BGC on 12 October; Bacha Coffee, the Marrakech coffee house now at SM Mall of Asia and Greenbelt 3; and Seafood 8 by Olio's, a modern dampa in Cubao. From the middle of the year, Brasa Martínez and Cerulean in Makati, Hinoki in Legazpi Village and Pinoy Accent in Diliman are still new enough to count, and all of them are open now.

Updated October 2026.

We only list places that are actually open, not "opening soon", and each line says when the place opened. We refresh this page every month, so the October openings sit at the top and older ones drop off as they settle in. For everything else, start at our eat and drink hub.

Opened in September and October

Torikizoku Serendra opened on 12 October 2026 and is the first Philippine branch of an Osaka yakitori chain founded in 1985. Every food item costs ₱190, so the table can order a spread without doing sums. Start with kizokuyaki, chicken and leek on the skewer, in thigh with sauce or breast with salt, and finish with anmitsu. It stays open until 2am. Ground Floor, The Shops at Serendra, BGC. ₱₱. Daily, 10am to 2am. Tip: book online at torikizoku-ph.com.

Sebastian's opened in September 2026 on the ground floor of Edades Tower in Rockwell, across from Power Plant Mall. It is the Antonio's Group's first full restaurant in Makati, named after Basti Escalante, who runs it. Breakfast at Antonio's dishes are served from 7am to noon, then the menu turns to bistro cooking: escargot, French oysters, steak tartare and a wagyu steak frites that has become the early favourite. Unit 101, Edades Tower, Rockwell Center. Sunday to Thursday 7am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday 7am to midnight. Good to know: the prime roast beef cart comes round on Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch; call 0968 179 2557 to book.

Seafood 8 by Olio's soft-opened in August and held its grand opening on 18 September 2026 at Gateway Mall 2 in Cubao. It is a dampa, the Filipino seafood market where you pick your catch, made modern: choose from the tanks and the ice, choose grilled, fried, steamed or baked, then choose one of eight house sauces. Chef Oli Buenviaje, from Sorsogon, cooked in seafood kitchens in Australia and France before this, his first restaurant at home. The Lagoon, Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City, Quezon City. ₱₱₱. Daily, 11am to 10pm. Tip: order the Roxas tanigue kinilaw while you choose your fish.

New cafe

Bacha Coffee opened its first two full Philippine stores in October 2026, at SM Mall of Asia and Greenbelt 3, after a takeaway pop-up at Greenbelt 3 earlier in the year. The coffee house was founded in 1910 in a palace in Marrakech. There is no espresso: over 200 coffees are brewed the Moroccan way and poured from gold pots, with croissants and a coffee tiramisu on the side. SM Mall of Asia, Pasay, and Greenbelt 3, Makati. ₱₱. Good to know: Mall of Asia seats about 15 and Greenbelt 3 about eight, so go on a weekday afternoon.

Opened in mid 2026, still new

Brasa Martínez opened in July 2026 at Joya Lofts and Towers in Rockwell. It is Spanish chef Luis Martínez's fourth Manila restaurant under his name, and almost everything is cooked on a two-metre charcoal grill. Skip any hope of croquetas and order the octopus gilda, the stuffed squid in shrimp velouté and a whole grilled fish. There is a wine room upstairs. Ground Floor, Joya Lofts and Towers, Rockwell Center. Sunday to Thursday 11am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday 11am to 11pm. Tip: call 0966 177 6197 for a weekend table.

Cerulean opened on 15 July 2026 on the second floor of The Shops at Ayala Triangle Gardens. Chef Francis Tolentino and the team behind Taupe cook fish from small fishing communities around the country with Asian flavours: scallop dumplings, crab chawanmushi, chipirones claypot rice and an uni ice cream sandwich. It is open for lunch, which makes it a good business lunch in central Makati. 2nd Floor, The Shops at Ayala Triangle Gardens. Daily, 11am to 3pm and 5pm to 10pm. Good to know: book at ceruleandining.ph; a private room seats up to 10.

Hinoki opened in mid 2026 on Arnaiz Avenue in Legazpi Village, with chef Yusuke Hino, formerly of Senju, at an eight-seat omakase counter. For more counters like it, see Omakase in Manila. Keyland Building, 851 Arnaiz Avenue, Legazpi Village. ₱₱₱₱. Tuesday to Sunday, 6pm to 10pm. Tip: call 0917 650 7417 to book the counter.

New wine bar

Pinoy Accent is a 30-seat Filipino wine bar that chef Jorge Mendez opened on 1 July 2026 at The Ignacia Place in Diliman. Sommelier Ian Santos chose the wines to go with Filipino food, so order the chicken liver pâté with latik and tuba jelly and let the staff pick a glass. A new menu in October added angel hair sisig, tuna dinakdakan and a Sampaloc Sour. The Ignacia Place, 62 Sgt. Esguerra Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. Monday to Thursday 5pm to midnight; Friday to Sunday also open for lunch. Tip: book dinner by message on Instagram, as the room is small.
